Procurement Overview
Procurement
NWest relies on suppliers,
contractors and consultants to provide much of the equipment, goods and
services that our operations require. We source goods and services
globally, targetting suppliers, contractors and service providers we
believe can consistently provide best value.
If you would like to supply goods or services to NWest, you should first fill out our Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (Adobe PDF Format).
Those who meet our standards are welcome to contact NWest.
Update: Environmental Assessment
Conestoga-Rovers and Associates (www.craworld.com)
have been awarded the contract to conduct an Environmental Assessment
(EA) on behalf of NWest in conjunction with NWest’s upcoming marine
seismic acquisition program on Newfoundland’s West Coast. There were a
total of three bidders participating in the highly competitive
procurement process.
The EA process allows the
Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) to fulfill its
responsibilities under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act
Federal Coordination Regulations. The EA will commence with submission
of a Project Description. This document, together with the technical
and scope advice received from the C-NLOPB, other Federal Agencies
through the Federal Coordination Regulations and from other
stakeholders consulted by NWest, will guide the preparation of an
Environmental Assessment.
Update: Seismic Acquisition
Nwest
Energy has signed a contract with Calgary-based Geophysical Service
Inc. for the acquisition of 3D seismic data over approximately 900
square kilometers off Western Newfoundland. The data is to be collected
over a six to eight week period in the third quarter, 2008, pending
final approval of the Environmental Assessment by the
Canada-Newfoundland Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (CNLOPB).
Contracts and Agreements
NWest requires that all potential suppliers, contractors and service
providers who provide goods or services to NWest enter into one of
NWest's standard form agreements. These agreements contain the terms
and conditions that govern the relationship between NWest and its
service providers. |
